Job Title:VP IT Infrastructure and Operations

Overview:

The Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT Infrastructure and Operations, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our technology systems. This role will play a crucial part in developing and executing IT strategies that support Premier America’s overall business objectives while managing a team of IT professionals and communicating with all stakeholders within the organization. Additionally, this role will be responsible for planning, co-developing, deploying & maintaining next-generation technologies (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, CCaaS, SD WAN, Serverless, etc.) that change how our members connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Knowledge and expertise in the implementation of cloud security requirements is essential.


Please note that this is an in-office position and therefore candidates must be local.


What You Will Do:

  • Lead by example and model Premier America’s Core Values.
  • Assumes responsibility for the planning, development, and execution of effective information technology strategies and programs.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, databases, and cloud services.
  • Operations Management: Lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including incident management, problem resolution, and service delivery, to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company data and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring deliverables meet quality and cost standards.
  • Optimizes and manages the technology network in a manner that delivers high efficiency with sufficient resilience, appropriate security while managing costs effectively.
  • Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to capacity planning and hardware upgrades.
  • Maintains and updates an overall framework of IT policies, standards, and strategies that empower business and people to deliver on commitments to the strategy and budgets.
  • Ensure that the team is effectively and efficiently satisfying stakeholder/member production support requests.
  • Communicate with executive management regarding issues, trends, plans, or escalations.
  • As part of the business continuity plan, ensure there is no failure in business operations based on strong, tested recovery plans.
  • Review work schedules to ensure sufficient coverage.
  • Lead team meetings and give presentations to management.
  • Responsible for the budget process, including managing departmental expenditures and staying within budget guidelines.
  • Oversee processes and procedures, service events accuracy, quality, and adjustments; ensure a high level of team member satisfaction and an optimal team member experience.
  • Direct hiring and staffing for the department based on workforce capacity and schedule adherence requirements.
  • Foster a culture of high engagement through team building, consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Attract and retain highly effective management and supervisory staff through mentoring, coaching, development, appraisal, and motivation techniques. Develop high potential team members for career progression.
  • Stays informed of trends and changes in the technology space. Attends seminars and professional conferences as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

What We Are Looking For:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role, within the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
  • ITIL, MCSE, VCP, CISSP, CCNP, Agile are preferred.
  • Cloud Solutions (Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Good understanding of private and public cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualization and global infrastructure)
  • Networking protocols
  • VMware or other Virtualization tools
  • Windows OS/Server
  • Active Directory
  • iOS & Android
  • Cisco Networking SDLC
  • Data Storage (Databricks Snowflake, Hadoop, etc.)
  • Exposure to core banking solutions (preferably Symitar)
  • Up to date with the current (and future) levels of IT security, threats, vulnerabilities that could impact the Company’s financial assets.
  • Understanding of various software products and relationships between systems, subsystems and products and/or broad understanding of the impact of future hardware technologies, with expertise in applying these technologies in meeting the company business needs.
  • Experience with leveraging the convergence of evolving technology and business/industry trends.
  • Strong project management skills and management of maintenance and support teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with members and Team Members.
  • Experience in analyzing data, creating and managing budgets, developing strategies/processes and implementing applications.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, leveraging deep personal and business relationships into significant business success while motivating others to similarly build networks.
  • Engaging and open, capable of working hard under significant pressure but at the same time being additive to the leadership team.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to effectively resolve/manage problems and competing priorities.

Pay Grade Info:

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is: $165k - $200k annually
