Role Overview:
The Volunteer Manager is the leader and advocate for the largest workforce at Victory Therapy Center in support of all therapy classes, barn help, administrative tasks, facility maintenance, and special projects. This role is responsible for developing the strategy and tactics for recruiting, training, scheduling, and retaining volunteers. As the primary communication link to the volunteer group, this role is responsible for matching the needs of the staff and operations to the skills and talents of the volunteers.

Job Duties:
- Responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and retaining volunteers for the day-to-day operations.
- Develops strategy and implements plan for volunteer recruitment.
- Schedules, plans, and facilitates volunteer orientations
- Screens volunteers for fit as a VTC volunteer, and ensures volunteers pass background check.
- Maintains all volunteer files including volunteer database
- Tracks and reports volunteer hours
- Develops and communicates volunteer schedules to meet needs all areas of VTC
- Develops and implements training and tracking program for volunteers.
- Ensures that all applicable PATH Standards that relate to volunteers are understood, implemented and complied with.
- Develops and administers volunteer awards and recognition program.
- Coordinates volunteer special events – holidays, recognition (Barn Brags), cleaning/decorating volunteer room, annual volunteer appreciation party
- Responsible for tracking metrics for retention, performing exit interviews and volunteer surveys.
- Attends and manages 3rd party events for recruitment and marketing, including volunteer fairs, community fairs, speaking engagements, etc.
- Organizes and facilitates speaking engagements at local school, churches, & businesses
- Communicates policy and procedure changes to volunteers
- Provides leadership in any conflict resolution with volunteers.
- Responsible for keeping up to date on the key tasks for both classes and barn duties.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Previous experience in working with a large and diverse group of individuals.
- Excellent conflict management skills
- Demonstrates a professional manner in working with the Board of Directors, volunteers, staff, and community
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience
- Attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines while working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Ability to make independent decisions, demonstrate leadership ability, and build relationships
- Positive attitude, flexibility, team player, creative thinker, and must have an acute attention to detail in writing and in managing multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently
Preferred:
- Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship Int’l (PATH) certification, or experience
- Previous experience working with volunteers
- Previous experience with client/donor database software (Salesforce)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
