Day-to-Day
- Manages and tracks contracts and grants from a variety of government and grant awards.
- Reviews external award notices for compliance, appropriate budget allocation and funding restrictions.
- Assists in coordinating development and implementation of grant writing activities to include other development staff, contract grant writers, finance, and program staff.
- Assists in assembling all pertinent grant material packages for final submission.
- Ensures overall accuracy and quality of all grant contract documents leaving the organization.
- Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of the Volunteers of America Texas contracts.
- Conducts internal and external research on organization's programs to build compelling case for support.
- Assists with researching and identifying potential contributors to fund special project and ongoing operations through examination of giving history and interest and other information as available.
- Manages grant compliant process to ensure that all funding requirements are met and follow-up reports are being submitted to funders.
- Institutes/maintains appropriate record keeping for identification of funding prospects, and updates and maintain the grants management database.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, nonprofit management, psychology or business field plus three years related experience in managing grants.
- Valid Texas Drivers' License, clear MVR and ability to be insured
