PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role will be highly visible and engaged in developing community partnerships and engagement to promote opportunities to volunteer at Martha's Vineyard Hospital and Windemere. Work with the Vice President of Diagnostics and Therapeutics to provide volunteer services (this is not going to be a function of this new role) program to the hospital. Build and maintain relationships with departmental supervisors. Ensure ongoing communication with departments which are staffed with volunteers and interns.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
Required
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills required, particularly when it comes to scheduling.
Ability to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills.
Must be passionate about the mission of the organization and Martha's Vineyard.
Entrepreneurial, high energy, positive, "can-do" attitude, flexibility, teamwork and attention to detail; high degree of initiative.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
Preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a program involving work with volunteers, such as directing, coordinating and/or recruiting.
