Job Title: Vital Living Outreach Coordinator
Reports to: Vital Living Program Manager
Status: This is an hourly nonexempt position at 40 hours per week
Location: East Side Neighborhood Services Hybrid (in office + remote)

POSITION SUMMARY
Vital Living at East Side Neighborhood Services is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to take the initiative in engaging with older adults and caregivers of older adults throughout Hennepin County to increase the awareness of the Vital Living program. This position will work closely with the entire Vital Living team, be a friendly self-starter and value relationship building.
DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for, but not limited to the following functions:
- To be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable ambassador of the Vital Living program and ESNS services in the community.
- Develop and facilitate outreach for Vital Living classes and events in the community through direct contact with older adults and organizations that support older adults.
- Identify, develop, and maintain positive relationships with key community partners such as service providers, community-based organizations, and senior living property managers.
- Create and distribute promotional materials in collaboration with the Vital Living manager.
- Increase recruitment of volunteers.
- Connect older adults with community resources.
- Collect and enter data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide support to other Vital Living team members hosting classes and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working with older adults and the understanding of issues affecting older adults and caregivers of older adults.
- Professional and effective communication with program participants, team members, and external partners on the phone, online, and in written communications.
- Comfortable meeting new people and excellent relationship building skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Ability to navigate computer networks, the internet, and electronic timecard system.
- Ability to work most Fridays.
- A commitment to positive intergenerational support and the willingness to work towards the elimination of ageism.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
- BA/BS/AA degree preferred in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties.
Experience:
- Direct experience in community engagement for a minimum of 1 year is preferable.
- Experience working with older adults and caregivers.
Compensation: $22.00-25.00/Hour, dependent upon qualifications.

Working Environment:
Vital Living's work week is now a 50:50 hybrid model. Our hybrid model refers to the split between working from home and the office. Over a 5-day work week, half of the working hours occur in the office and half of the working hours provide the opportunity to work from home.
