The Visual Merchandiser uses every day as an opportunity to reimagine the store setting to keep our customers engaged. You will lead by example in executing the overall merchandising standards and brand vision in the showroom. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has industry insights on the latest trends, able to take direction, and constructive feedback. This person enjoys a fast-paced and constantly changing environment and can adapt to a variety of situations with a professional attitude. Responsible for maintaining the overall visual experience on the showroom floor. Seasonally you will collaborate ideas with other stores on current trends to craft inspiring visual displays. Supervision of the floor crew during the movement of merchandise to and from the showroom floor, as well as the movement of merchandise within the showroom.

- Responsible for maintaining the overall visual experience on the showroom floor. Quickly and efficiently implement any merchandise or sales floor changes given by the Corporate Visual Manager or General Manager before store opening.
- Interpret seasonal concept direction and inspiration provided by the Corporate Visual Team to meet your store’s unique needs, including space constraints, knowledge of customer and location cultural interests.
- Continually generate fresh ideas in display using varied materials, while retaining a collaborative and flexible mindset.
- Ensures that all projects are completed within the specified timeline, always making sure the store is “showroom” ready by Friday morning. Specifically, displays are clean, furniture is touched up, focal lighting adjusted and project status are submit to Visual Design Manager.
- Responsible for design work that includes, but is not limited to, selecting rugs, accessories, and tables for vignettes on the showroom floor as well as assisting the sales staff and customers with design solutions when needed to encourage the sale of merchandise.
- Prioritize a weekly plan based on store team meetings and direction from Corporate Visual Manager.
- Responsible for new product launches and displays and flowing to the floor using daily schedules, knowledge of styles, and price points.
- Works well with management, sales, and operations to ensure all product specific procedures are properly executed. This is to include transfers to and/or from the showroom floor are correctly documented and scanned.
- Coordinating the Visual team to properly display merchandise in the showroom to promote sales using their knowledge of visual merchandising, in-store marketing, and design through merchandise display.
- Experience: 4-5 years previous experience in Visual Design, preferably in a retail environment (furniture preferred), portfolio required.
- Skills: knowledge of PC necessary, including Word and Excel,
- Communication: Excellent communication and writing skills; strong interpersonal skill
