- Creates, develops and executes quality art and design solutions for complex online content, including but not limited to promotions, page layouts, emails, display banners, social postings, logos, icons, infographics, and other creative assets.
- Participates in meetings facilitated by business area or project initiator to understand the goals and objectives throughout the stages of a project.
- Advocate for the consumer and create experiences they will love.
- Graphically present information so it is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find—the Visual Designer's work is oriented toward what a user sees on a screen (although close collaboration with UX Design is necessary so working knowledge of wireframes and user flows is preferred).
- Ensures designs are consistent, maintained and in-line with brand standards in order to maintain Overstock's corporate identity.
- Experience with transitions, animation, motion design and dynamic interaction is prefered.
- Collaborates with manager, designers, writers and other team members to ensure the appropriate concepts, themes and messages are conveyed and represented effectively and consistently for the business objectives and audience(s).
- Work closely with Editorial, Photography departments on creative tactics.
- Partner with front-end developers to create designs that adapt and flow with responsive design systems.
- Ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously.
- Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation and negotiation skills.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
- Follow legal policies as directed.
- 3 years of experience; ecommerce experience highly desired.
- Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).
- An online portfolio showcasing your solid foundation in typography, layout and design.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams (motion, interaction, UX research, engineering, UX designer, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile, Android and iOS.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
- A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, manage expectations, and meet deadlines.

- BA/BS degree in Design preferred but not necessary (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
