Job Description:Sanford Federal is excited to offer a unique opportunity at the Rend Lake Visitor Center in Benton, IL. We are currently seeking a dedicated Visitor Center Attendant to join our team and provide exceptional services to visitors and tourists. This role is instrumental in ensuring a welcoming, informative, and enjoyable experience for all guests.

As a Visitor Center Attendant, you will be the face of Rend Lake, offering guidance, information, and support to visitors. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to, greeting visitors, providing information about the park and surrounding areas, managing customer records, and ensuring the Visitor Center is organized and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors, and a desire to make every visitor's experience memorable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors and provide them with comprehensive information about the park, activities, and local attractions.
• Maintain accurate customer records and manage staff to ensure a high level of customer service.
• Assist in managing budgets and medium-term objectives for Visitor Center operations.
• Provide tourism-related information and support, including brochure distribution and event coordination.
• Ensure the Visitor Center is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proven experience in customer service or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with visitors.
• Knowledge of local history, geography, and attractions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and facility cleanliness.
