The Caterpillar Visitor Center (CVC) Support Representativeis responsible for supporting dealer, customer and employee tour requests for in-person and virtual tours, supporting CVC room rentals and events, serving as “Manager on Duty” for selected days/events, as well as other duties, as needed. The Caterpillar Visitors Center is the global showcase for Caterpillar’s products, providing best-in-class customer service to an estimated 60,000 dealer, customer, and public visitors annually.
This part time position will play a valuable role in the day-to-day operations and alignment of CVC initiatives to the Enterprise Strategy.

What You Will Do:
- Provide support for dealer, customer, and employee tour requests.
- Provide CVC meeting room support.
- Receive and screen calls/emails, maintaining their accurate records, and direct them to the appropriate department or individuals.
- Serve as Manager on Duty as needed. This includes opening and closing processes for the ticket agent desk, and ability to provide occasional coverage for evening and weekend events.
- Support relevant teams to ensure efficiency of the CVC day-to-day operations.
- Welcome guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner; scheduling meetings/appointments for visitors and answering their questions.
What You Have:
- Education/Experience: This position requires knowledge of Microsoft 365 products. Bachelor or Associates degree preferred. Previous experience in project management and/or event planning is a plus.
- Customer Focus: Ability to prioritize “above and beyond” customer service and the ability to help our guests solve their problems and meet their needs. Must be flexible and able to pivot quickly.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Ability to quickly learn and execute standard processes used in every area of the job.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. The successful candidate will be extremely dependable.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication.
