Job description
- Use geometrical optics, structure analysis, and CAD tools to architect new optical modules and to assess their expected performance and limitations - Identify and implement critical metrics and specifications to deliver performance that matter to customer perception - Identify novel characterization techniques to measure key performance metrics of complex and novel optical modules - Influence product-level decisions using tools and methods such as simulation, prototyping and lab characterization - Build custom metrology hardware and perform hands-on measurements in the lab - Work with suppliers to develop optical modules, bring up optical test platforms, and perform statistical analysis of data to determine optical performance and quality - Visit suppliers to support engineering builds, and help with failure analysis activities
