This is an amazing opportunity to be part of the food and beverage leadership team of an 11,000 square-foot facility in Virginia Beach with an on-site brewery, restaurant, outdoor patio and private event space.
Our Events Coordinator will be responsible for juggling hundreds of requests - via phone, email, and in-person - to reserve our highly sought-after private dining areas. Outstanding client relations skills, experience with event sales, and hands-on experience with day-of coordination are a must. Passion for (and a working knowledge of) local craft beer is a plus!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the General Manager and Restaurant Managers to book and execute successful private events for small and large parties.
- Create out of the box ideas and concepts for large public events.
- Drive smaller programs such as music bingo, trivia night and drag brunches etc
- Stay on top of popular trends to drive public events.
- Create Social schedule and influence content.
- Manage social media content creators.
- Partner with General Manager to book live entertainment.
- Work with General Manager on budgets and pricing.
- Maintain and track Tripleseat software database of event inquiries.
- Respond to new inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate with Executive Chef to create BEOs and plan large-group menus.
- Accurately and efficiently communicate information regarding deposits, fees, cancellations, and day-of policies.
- Reports weekly sales, deposits, and calendar to respective department.
- Develop relationships with businesses through local marketing.
- Build relationships to maintain and grow recurring tasting room programs. (i.e. bocce ball, corn hole, paint nights, trivia to name a few)
- Self-starter with at least 3 years of relevant experience in Hampton Roads market, with a proven track record, and existing contacts.
