HCISDPRIMARY PURPOSE:
The role of the Videographer/Editor is to assist with videotaping, capturing, and editing video productions highlighting campus events and extra-curricular activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED, Associate's Degree (preferred) in a related area or course work in telecommunications, TV broadcasting, digital imaging, graphics design, photography, computer science and/or engineering.
Special Skills/Knowledge:
Videotaping, video capture, editing, and graphics production. Good communications skills both verbal and written. Good math and problem solving skills. Good organizational and supervisory skills. Good computer skills. Ability to edit video and audio using Adobe Premier Pro and/or AVID Media Composer Adrenaline.
Minimum Experience:
Two or more years experience in television camera and editing operation, field camera experience, television news production.
Essential Job Functions
- Creatively conceptualize, coordinate, shoot and edit live and recorded promotional, informational, instructional and educational videos using professional broadcast equipment.
- Operate video cameras, switcher, audio Mixer, lighting and other equipment to produce media for professional quality products.
- Serve as technical director and/or videographer to produce live and recorded television programming.
- Assist in video and audio production classroom management for the Media Arts and Communications Academy.
