Video Editor:
We are looking for a Video Editor who excels in the edit bay, and at driving projects forward with exceptional organizational and communications skills. You have edited and organized content for well-known brands and/or agencies. You're able to collaborate with and take direction from key stakeholders across multiple projects and products. Knowledge of field production and ability to travel is a plus, as you may have the opportunity to assist with high-level shoots and learn the ins and outs of various production roles.
To be successful in this position, you must have creative thinking skills that lead to engaging, impactful, persuasive, and entertaining visual content. You must have experience working on a variety of original content styles including non-fiction, documentary, and commercial-style productions. Being highly adaptable to last minute changes and several rounds of feedback are important to be successful in this role.
This role offers a hybrid schedule with 4 days a week onsite and 1 day a week remote
Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively to develop ideas with other members of the CoStar Group's video production team, stakeholders, brand marketers, writers, producers, vendors, etc to plan and execute video projects.
  • Capable of editing with the ability to meet tight deadlines and quickly turning around high- end video content.
  • Work to streamline the filming and editing process to create an efficient and seamless process from ideation of a project to final delivery.
  • Assist lead cinematographer with managing our in-house gear and determine production specific needs of a shoot.
  • Learn to setup and operate cinema grade cameras (RED, C300, Ursa, etc.), lenses, lighting, sound, and other production gear for on location video shoots.
  • Serve as crew on shoots as needed
  • Ability to travel occasionally for production shoots.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 years' experience as an Editor creating content for brands or agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit college or university
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • Expert level experience using Premiere and Davinci Resolve. Advanced knowledge in After Effects is a plus.
  • Successful at managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Proven ability to create impactful content that tells a story no matter the topic.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communicator that can clearly explain projects needs to internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
  • Ambitious, willing to take creative risks, and highly motivated to strengthen video producing skills.
  • Interest in developing knowledge of video production equipment including cameras, lighting, sound, etc.
