As the Vice President of Research Strategy & Community, you will be a key leader responsible for driving the company's research and thought leadership initiatives. Your role will be instrumental in helping shape our market presence, influencing industry perceptions, and driving insights in the trust space. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive research strategies, ensuring that we generate and effectively distribute leading insights and content that differentiate OneTrust and keep us at the forefront of the industry.

In this position you will report to the Chief Legal and Business Officer. Your work location will be remote with the ability to travel to our US Hub office in Atlanta and other Hub or field offices as required.

You Will

Identify research areas, emerging trends, and topics that align with the trust intelligence market landscape. Ensure the application of rigorous research methodologies and adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Thought Leadership Initiatives: Develop and implement a thought leadership strategy that elevates the company's reputation as a trusted authority in the industry. Define and help drive the creation of a compelling content roadmap, and the assets to drive it, including whitepapers, articles, and speaking engagements to position OneTrust as the thought leader in the Trust Intelligence Space.
  • Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify key industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Leverage insights to guide content development that can be leveraged by product, marketing strategies, and field teams.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Help create strategic partnerships with leading industry experts, research organizations, academia and regulators to enhance our research capabilities and access to market insights.
  • Team Leadership: Help build a high-performing research and thought leadership team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Content Development and Distribution: Oversee the creation of engaging and informative content that showcases the company's expertise and value proposition. Ensure content strategy is tailored for different audiences and distributed through various channels effectively.
  • Thought Leadership Events: Organize and participate in thought leadership events, webinars, and conferences to showcase OneTrust's research findings and perspectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, industry analysts, and partners, to gather insights and incorporate feedback into research and thought leadership strategies.
  • Research Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and credibility of research outputs. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in research methodologies, data analysis, and written products.
  • Thought Leadership and Public Engagement: Represent OneTrust at conferences, symposiums, and other public forums. Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, publish research findings in reputable outlets, and engage with media to amplify the impact and visibility of the organization's research.

You Are

Where we Work

OneTrust embraces a hybrid working model. Our Working@ OneTrust initiative is our way of clarifying where we hire, how we work together, and where we're located in that hybrid model.

The underlying "why" for Working@ is that we are intentional about the culture that we want to create together. That includes bringing teams together, in-person, throughout the year to collaborate, build connections, learn from each other, and celebrate our wins toFinish Stronger.

We are committed to a flexible approach informed by a set of guiding principles. You'll see that reflected in our worker designations: "Office-flex" and "Location-flex".

  • Office-flex: Like a traditional hybrid model, OneTrust "Office-flex" employees may be asked to work in an office periodically if they are within a commutable distance to a OneTrust office. This includes coming into the office for our Company Kickoff, Company All Hands, and other larger company events. Beyond that, we give our leaders and teams the flexibility to set additional guidelines based on the nature of your role.
  • Location-flex: Similar to other companies' remote policies, for OneTrust "Location-flex" roles, you will primarily work from your home office location. However, you may be required to travel to our OneTrust offices or customer sites periodically based on the nature of your role.

Each role may have specific requirements, so we encourage you to verify the location of the role with your recruiter during your first interview.

Benefits

As an employee at OneTrust, you will be part of the OneTeam. That means you'll receive support physically, mentally, and emotionally so that you can do your best work both in and out of the office. This includes comprehensive healthcare coverage, flexible PTO, equity stock options, annual performance bonus opportunities, retirement account support, 14+ weeks of paid parental leave, career development opportunities, company-paid privacy certification exam fees, and much more. Specific benefits differ by country. For more information, talk to your recruiter or visit onetrust.com/careers.
