Sixt is in search of a highly skilled Vice President of Repairsand Fleet Operations with a strong background in fleet maintenance, strategic planning, and leadership to ensure the efficiency and compliance of SIXT rent a car's Repair and maintenance operations in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement repair strategies:
- Build an internal repair organization, moving away from sub-contractors
- Implement comprehensive strategies for vehicle maintenance (glass, tires, oil change, brakes)
- Manage mechanical, cosmetic, and total loss repairs
- In-Fleet and De-Fleet operations – PDI facilities
- Expand the network of preferred national suppliers for all repair categories
Oversee repair facilities:
- Establish and oversee repair facilities across the US
- Ensure facilities comply with regulations and standards
- Monitor and address performance issues for efficient repair operations
Building & training a dynamic team:
- Collaborate with People & Culture and Training departments for program development
- Identify staff development needs and provide mentorship and guidance
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and work with stakeholders for compliance
Collaborate with internal and global stakeholders:
- Work with manufacturers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies for efficient operations
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external partners
Reporting and analysis:
- Regularly report on Repair and maintenance department performance
- Analyze data for trends and areas of improvement, contributing to strategic decision-making
- Forecast, budget, and manage key financial drivers
Qualifications
- 15+ years of management experience
- 10+ years of vehicle Repair and maintenance experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, collision repair, systems, components, and design
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Ability to make independent decisions and influence effectively
- Competency in various computer applications systems, including Microsoft office
- Must work a flexible schedule, including day and/or evening hours
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
