Job Description
The Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain is an integral part of the Caesarstone Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and is responsible for overseeing and directing Caesarstone North America in attaining financial and operational goals; setting standards for operations; developing, articulating and communicating goals, expectations and objectives; and supporting all levels and providing appropriate tools to ensure success.

- Distribution Centers (12 US, 4 Canada)
- Logistics, and Procurement
- Stakeholder relationships:
- Internal: Global VP Global SC; Business Unit: President, CFO, VP-Sales, VP - Marketing, VP-HR, Various departments In North America Central office and in HQ global team; Richmond Hill Plant manager and logistics.
- External: North America suppliers (in Us & CA), logistics providers, 3rd party’s services, Consulting companies, ports, shipping companies, consignments w/h, customs brokers and international transport companies, relevant authorities in US and Canada related to SC activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owns operation and supply chain for north America region will be the operation and supply chain wing for North America BU president.
- Manage demand & supply for entire North America. Ensure right FG inventory levels at the right time
- Create and implement optimal stock location layout/system in DCs (Example: Fast movers at the front and slow movers at the back to enable optimal loading and dispatch of trucks)
- Establish and implement DC direct 48-hour receipt to customer response time capability
- Drive actions to Improve ITO, increase FG service level to meet sales requirements
- Create and implement tracking system that allows transparent tracking and communication of any and all customer orders (Internally and externally transparent)
- Support North America region strategic initiatives from Operations and supply chain perspective, set up new supply models aligned with HQ (big box, IKEA, new sales channels)
- When in market on visits to DCs, Logistics Partners, etc. priority must be given to visiting major customers with the Sales Team to enable continuing to raise the bar on customer expectations and service
- Key is partnership with the Sales Team on identification and acting on value add initiatives
- Manage S&OP process together with Sales force for North America drive process and activities to improve forecast accuracy.
- Reduce Excess and obsolete inventories over entire North America region
- Operate and manage North America distribution Network, Hub and distribution centers. Optimize network, Set up new w/h, proposed locations, manage truck fleet and required equipment to ensure smooth operation
- Optimize distribution network for efficiency and serviceability. Work with logistics providers, negotiate terms sign contracts.
- In change for domestic and international transportation work closely with global logistics team to optimize overall cost
- Optimize logistic cost ($/sqm) drive logistic cost down
- In charge for order entry, order fulfillment service
- Oversee procurement expenses and identify cost efficiencies.
- Prepare operation and SC budget, align expenses with AOP
- Ensure SC and Operation teams are incompliance values and behaviors.
- Owns Distribution Networks H&S (health and safety) drive actions to ensure zero accidents.

Requirements:
What Success in this Role Requires:
- Relevant academic education, preferably from the industrial management (IE) / mechanical engineering sectors
- Previous experience of at least 10 years in a relevant /similar position at a global industrial environment.
- A close acquaintance with domestic (US, CA) and international transportation (land and sea), including familiarity with local and international suppliers and services.
- Familiar with matrix organization operations at global company environment.
- Able to work under pressure and tight timelines
- Strong business acumen with understanding of sales organization and customer focus
- ERP (Oracle, advantage), WMS system knowledge
- Proven Leader, ability to motivate and drive change in the company and among his teams
- Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to drive change and the ability to work in a global environment
Working Conditions:
- Work requires significant local travel to current and potential DCs and customer (up to 75%)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel for customer visits
- Working in a Global organization, regular early morning international meetings with various time zones with UK, Israel and Australia
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to variable weather conditions is likely
