Vice President Of Operations

Primary Objective of Position
Oversees organization’s operations including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, production, quality, and other operational functions. Collaborates with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy with the overall goals of the organization. Directs a team of subordinate managers/directors. Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Develops short and long-term operational plans that maximize shareholder value.
• Participates as key member of leadership and executive team in establishing strategic direction for the company.
• Oversees execution of strategies meant to improve the organization's financial performance and competitive positioning through continuous improvement or efficiency optimization.
• Coordinates and interfaces with other departments (finance, sales, human resources, etc.) and divisions to assure that company profits and objectives are obtained.
• Develops next-generation leaders through evaluating the performance of direct reports on a regular bases and providing guidance to improve performance where needed. Promotes associate development by reviewing individual needs, then recommending an appropriate training program.
• Develops and submits thoroughly documented budgets that cover all areas of responsibility, then controls expenditures within those guidelines.
• Participates in the development and implementation of company policies and communicates and enforces them in the company.
• Participates in, and ensures timely, Board of Director updates and as needed in quarterly Board of Director meetings.
• Ensures compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Every employee is expected to support the INTEK Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with our Quality System Manual and Documented Procedures. This position is responsible to set, follow and maintain the QMS and related Documented Procedures. This position also has change authority over their processes.
• Performs other accountabilities as apparent or assigned.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent, preferably in a business, technical or operations area.
• Minimum 20+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations, engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent.
• Experience in these areas strongly preferred:
• Leading multiple manufacturing locations
• Implementing automation into manufacturing
• Acquiring and integrating a manufacturing company
• Experience with a union environment preferred.
• Project Management experience and/or certification desired.
• Knowledge of EOS/Traction systems and lean principles.
• Experience in a plastics manufacturing environment beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $215,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
