We specialize in providing financial services to hardworking union members across Washington.

We are seeking a VP of Finance to lead our financial operations, contribute to our success, and also grow and learn within our organization. This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with and learn from an experienced financial leader in a service-focused, financially sound organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Finance will play a crucial role in our continued success, ensuring our financial strategies align with our values and mission.

Position Overview:

Responsible for the oversight of Accounting, Risk, ERM, Internal Audit, and Compliance departments, this role emphasizes direct team support while enhancing financial processes and ensuring reporting accuracy. The VP of Finance ensures our financial integrity, fostering a supportive environment that drives progress and operational excellence across the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with auditors and regulators to maintain high standards of compliance.
  • Direct the Accounting, EFT, Risk, Fraud, BSA, Internal Audit, and Compliance departments, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain risk management and compliance programs to meet industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Work with peer VPs to plan and implement strategies that impact our organizational objectives.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking an experienced finance professional eager to make a meaningful impact and grow with our organization. Your background in the credit union or community banking sector will set you apart. Essential for success are your analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, deep understanding of regulatory environments, and a dedication to continual learning and development. We value individuals who will roll up their sleeves alongside their teams and proactively seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and foster collaborative efforts that improve staff and member experiences. Your ability to make informed, data-driven decisions, supported by concrete examples from your current or previous roles, will help paint a picture of how you could succeed in this role and add to our collective growth.

What We Offer:

  • Growth and Learning Opportunities: Work closely with an experienced financial leader in a role with room for personal and professional growth in a service-focused, financially sound organization.

  • Work-Life Balance: We understand the importance of balance and offer paid vacation, sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and flexibility with occasional remote work and flexible hours.
  • Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a competitive salary with an annual management incentive program complemented by comprehensive benefits, including medical/dental/vision plans, generous retirement benefits, loan discounts, and tuition reimbursement.
