Vice President, Finance (Remote State of Washington Only)

Working at Collabra Technology:
We have an amazing opportunity for a seasoned, Washington-based finance professional to assume the overall finance function within Collabra as we scale operations. The Vice President, Finance will ensure all accounting activities conform with GAAP and with established internal controls, oversee all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), with a heavy emphasis on SaaS metrics and reporting, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management. This role oversees an internal and external accounting team and all financial and accounting-related processes.
The ideal candidate is someone who is based in the State of Washington and is willing to get their hands dirty in day-to-day accounting matters, while also working hand in hand with the leadership team on higher level strategic and operational matters.
In this role, you will make an impact by:
- Leading all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Building and managing monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
- Developing strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.
- Advising on financing and capital-raising strategies.
- Working with external partners and internal stakeholders to provide necessary services and reporting.
- Presenting financial reports to executives, board members, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborating with the leadership team to create budgets and track key performance indicators.
- Establishing targets and managing all internal and external finance staff.
- Managing and minimizing all state and local tax issues, including management response and audits.
- Overseeing and reviewing accounting tasks, including all payroll functions, taxes, and compliance.
- Overseeing property casualty insurance and risk management, in combination with the CEO.
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure they provide for strong internal controls to protect company assets and meet corporate needs.
- Ensuring accounting and reporting adheres to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
This opportunity may be a good fit for you if you:
- Are based in the State of Washington. Candidates who are based outside of Washington will not be considered.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related business discipline plus a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively more responsible work experience leading finance/accounting.
- Have five (5) years of prior working experience in a SaaS organization.
- Have experience using FP&A software applications and advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Understand financial reporting and have strong analytical skills, with advanced understanding of SaaS financial metrics.
- Communicate effectively and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Are able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels.
- Have prior experience managing and growing a team.
- Have strong organizational and time management skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Possess a sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Have a track record of demonstrated flexibility and creativity; possess a collaborative working style.
Strong candidates also have:
- A current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Prior work experience in a growing small to medium sized company accounting environment.

- A competitive base salary of $160,000 to $190,000 per year + other financial incentives including stock options.
