Position Summary: The Vice President of Analytics will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our data analytics strategy, with a primary focus on building a robust data infrastructure, enhancing medical economics, and effectively monetizing data assets. The successful candidate will lead a talented team of Analytics professionals to deliver actionable insights that contribute to improved patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and overall business success.
Responsibilities:
- Data Ecosystem:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of a state-of-the-art data warehouse/lake tailored to healthcare needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of disparate data sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Establish and maintain data governance policies to uphold regulatory compliance and data security standards.
- Medical Economics:
- Analyze and interpret healthcare data to derive meaningful insights into medical costs, patient outcomes, and utilization patterns.
- Collaborate with VBC, operations, finance and individual practices to develop and refine medical economics models, supporting strategic decision-making and cost optimization.
- Implement predictive modeling and forecasting techniques to identify trends and proactively address challenges in healthcare economics.
- Data Utilization:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for monetizing healthcare data assets while adhering to ethical and legal considerations.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to leverage data assets for research, development, and external initiatives.
- Drive initiatives to create value-added products and services based on healthcare data insights.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with other department heads to align analytics initiatives with overall business goals.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Analytics, Health Informatics, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in healthcare analytics, with a track record of success in developing and implementing data strategies.
- Deep understanding of medical economics, healthcare operations, and data monetization in the context of the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of Analytics tools (e.g. Excel, PowerBi, SSRS, SQL), programming languages (e.g., Python, R), and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
