Position Summary:
The Vice President of Information of Technology (VP IT) is accountable for providing leadership, strategic direction, sound management and vision for the technology initiatives of WellLife Network (WLN). The incumbent is a member of the management team and works closely with the management team to implement strategy. The VP IT provides direction and oversight to technology related concerns including security/cybersecurity, customer-facing and staff related Information Technology (IT) strategy, and the design, development, and implementation of WLN's information systems, software applications and IT support and infrastructure systems.
Essential duties:
- Set strategy, priorities and direction for the IT Department.
- Act as Security Officer for the agency.
- Implement, Maintain and enhance security protocols to ensure that system security and disaster recovery systems are in place.
- Prepare and manage budgets (operating and capital) related to IT initiatives.
- Design and maintain connectivity infrastructure that supports remote access and internal access for all WLN locations.
- Oversee contract negotiations with IT vendors, contractors and service providers
- Communicate with other executives regarding costs, value and risk-potential of new IT projects
- Oversee upgrades and systems for purchase.
- Oversee implementation integration of computer systems, ensuring hardware assets are well managed and controlled.
- Oversee the planning, development, and deployment of advanced IT infrastructure in residential buildings, group homes and administrative buildings.
- Collaborate and support EHR systems and initiatives.
- Oversee and support all business applications.
- Support all data management, data analytics and data administration initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and find solutions for computer systems issues as they arise.
- Manage IT staff and makes sure internal and external user needs are being met.
- Analyze system usage and processes to determine how to optimize return on investment, improve Information Technology systems, and foster business growth.
- Ensure adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data.
- Research and forecast emerging computing trends.
- Integrate new software and platforms into existing computer systems to ensure that technology is optimized.
- Establish maintenance checks and other technological infrastructure monitoring strategies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors and negotiate services and contracts.
- Develops training documents for systems users, including info graphics, slide shows, and video tutorials.
- Communicate technology needs and strategy to fellow members of executive team.
- Help direct development of customer-facing web platforms and digital experiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.
- BA computer science, Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years executive leadership experience
- Impeccable broad based IT knowledge and technical skills
- Deep domain proficiency with Microsoft Enterprise Suite and EHR systems (e.g., Netsmart)
- Familiarity with regulatory aspects of protected health information (PHI)\Relationship building and team development skills
- Familiarity with enterprise business systems, such as financial and human resource systems
