Job Summary:
The Vice President of Human Resources provides executive-level leadership and is responsible for strategically leading the operations of the Human Resources Department 's to contribute to the overall company strategy and direction. The Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant Human Resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
  • Develop comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives that ensure a holistic approach in the cohesive delivery of integrated solutions that align with the business needs.
  • Proactively partners with executive leadership to create and drive comprehensive organizational team and leadership effectiveness.
  • Consult with executive leaders and other key stakeholders to influence outcomes that drive the best solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of coordinated leadership strategies and programs that support business objectives, resulting in improved performance and development of key talent.
  • Identifies key performance indicators for the organization's human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Provide tools, frameworks and change strategies to effectively drive change.
  • Effectively lead the HR team to drive end to end HR initiatives and processes including org design and effectiveness, restructuring support, staffing, compensation, employee relations, HR service delivery, and compliance.
  • Partners with talent development to drive initiatives such as talent development, leadership development, change management, performance management and diversity and inclusion.
  • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, and employee incentive programs.
  • Provides effective leadership to the human resource management team, including coaching, development, performance management and ensuring strong collaboration within the workforce teams.
  • Assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, Human Resources, and talent management.
  • Drafts and implements the organization's staffing budget, and the budget for the human resource department.
  • Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong business and financial acumen with proven ability to understand the business vision, strategy, competitive landscape, priorities, financial, and performance measures and capabilities.
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders to successfully develop, recommend, influence, and drive strategic HT agenda aligned with organizational priorities and the ability to build strong teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's or law degree highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of human resource management experience required, including demonstrated leadership experience with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
