Position Summary:
The Vice President, Finance leads and supports the finance and accounting functions of Foresight Financial Group and its affiliate banks in partnership with VP, Controller. Conduct thorough analysis of bank financial performance data and ALM (asset liability management) providing input in defining budgetary controls and appropriate funding strategies to maximize bank and company earnings. Accountable to the terms of a Service Level Agreement including completing and managing required tasks by effectively coordinating and communicating with direct reports and other internal and external contacts. Reviews regulatory and governmental filings for the company and as appropriate the affiliate banks. Manages internal and external audits and regulatory examinations conducted at both holding company and affiliate bank level. Oversees shareholder relations and transfer agent partnership.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports the functions of the finance department staff to ensure accuracy in the Company’s financial records.
- Oversight of daily bank/company liquidity position and management
- Analyzing of bank, parent and consolidated monthly financial and budgetary reports.
- Develops internal reporting, press releases, and monthly written analysis to Senior Management and Board of Directors.
- Oversees accounting for Foresight Financial Group, Inc. – Holding Company level.
- Maintain modeling and assumptions within Plansmith/COMPASS ALM software.
- Manages planning/budgeting process, including running updated forecasts throughout the year as needed.
- Participates in bank ALCO and attends pricing committee meetings.
- Annual or periodic Liquidity/Cash Flow Stress Testing
- Prepares/Reviews allowance for credit loss calculations, classified asset reports and watch loan reports using core and balance sheet data.
- Quarterly CECL analysis and annual footnote preparation.
- Prepares various incentive and equity plan calculations and accruals in partnership with HR.
- Assist in preparation of bank regulatory filings and filing of holding company regulatory filings.
- Assist in computation of quarterly consolidated corporate tax estimate.
- Preparation of financial data for board packets and external reporting.
- Manage preparation for internal and external audits and regulatory examinations and response/follow up to findings as related to affiliate bank and holding company services.
- Assist shareholders regarding stock ownership in conjunction with company’s transfer agent.
- Coordinate funding and communication of shareholder dividends.
- Support CFO as Company liaison to institutional shareholders.
- Provide support and direction to banks and CFO in completion of annual budgets.
- Provide input in the development of new and expanded banking products.
- Hiring, training, supervision and retention of skilled staff.
- Maintain compliance with public listing platform requirements, DTC and transfer agent.
- Responsible for core processor GL interface maintenance and development as needed.
- Oversees and administers financial accounting software, including funds transfer pricing, accounts payable, fixed assets and asset/liability programs.
- Engage in review of accounting related software and decisioning on core system selection.
- Supports other departments and subsidiary banks in developing efficiencies and finding ways to improve profitability.
- Participate in due diligence, acquisition, and integration activities.

Accounting: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Capacity for assessing and interpreting numerical data, and describing effectively in narrative format.

Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures and regulations. Functional knowledge of core banking platform such as Jack Henry and ALM Management software.
Performance Standards:
Timely and accurate completion of all regulatory filings.
Monthly financial reporting completed within reasonably defined timeline each month.
Provide timely response to audits and examination requests resulting in “satisfactory” audit grades in all areas to which Finance Department has oversight/responsibility.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience is required. CPA certification, and past or current experience in bank regulatory report filing and bank operations a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to periodically travel to FFG subsidiary bank locations.
