Position: Vice President, Community Partnerships

Reports To: Chief Business Development Officer

Summary: The Vice President of Community Partnerships is a highly collaborative, influential, and experienced Community Partnerships/business development executive responsible for initiating and growing individual and organization partnership opportunities nationwide accelerating used shoe collection growth and donations. The VP, reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, will be responsible for accelerating Soles4Souls' used footwear and apparel growth within the United States, landscape and identifying strategic individual and national community partnership opportunities, including faith-based organizations, civic, universities, and schools. Additionally, the VP will lead a Community Partnerships team, collaborate with Soles4Souls' leadership team including marketing, logistics/operations, finance, IT, among others. A proven servant leader who balances business purpose with business results. This is Work from Anywhere position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, solicit, and follow-up with target organizations and individuals through multiple prospecting, communications, and marketing methods (cold calling, conference attendance, social media, presentations, etc.)
  • Create, administer, and implement the community partnership strategies and tactics for Soles4Souls in partnership with the Chief Business Development Officer and other Leadership Team members.
  • Responsible for P&L for the Community Partnerships group and the roll-up of each direct report
  • Responsible for collecting approximately 2.5 million pairs of shoes and pieces of clothing, and over $200k in cause marketing each year with the Community Partnerships team (increasing annually)
  • Develop and lead a team of high performers that clearly demonstrate Soles4Souls values and manage and mentor staff.
  • Oversee and implement full prospecting cycle, including market research, needs analysis, pitch, closing.
  • Initiate and develop relationships with key prospects to identify and meet prospects' needs.
  • Maintain relationships with individuals and organizations to ensure project success.
  • Pitch capabilities and communicate unique selling proposition based on prospect needs and Soles4Souls solutions.
  • Create and customize presentations and other pitch materials.
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader who facilitates stakeholder engagement and drives execution of key projects from start to finish. Additionally, effectively communicate results to senior leaders using in-depth quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Respond to requests and write proposals, including the preparation of project budgets.
  • Establish and achieve product and dollar goals, metrics, and milestones. Track and report on progress and success.
  • Manage periodic financial planning and analysis processes, including senior leadership reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, scenario planning, and annual planning/offsite. In addition, develop key performance indicators that track business performance against strategic priorities.
  • Provide specific Community Partnerships expertise and relevant experience into the product and services portfolio and strategic planning process as needed.
  • Capture prospect and market needs and trends and consult with executive leadership and internal teams for solution development
  • Partner with senior team to prepare board materials, presentations, and other ad-hoc strategic reporting deliverables
  • Frequent travel required to regional donation centers and events/conferences as needed

Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Experience in Community Engagement, Leadership and Management
  • Strong background with faith-based organizations, civic organizations, universities/schools
  • Strong project and time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 7-10 years of business development experience
  • Strong work ethic is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel, NetSuite and HubSpot
  • Valid driver's license

Physical Demands:

  • Vision: Must have clear vision, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Hearing: Hear and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Manual Dexterity: Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Repetitive Motion: Perform repetitive tasks, such as data entry, for extended periods of time.
  • Work Environment: Be able to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and be exposed to varying weather conditions if applicable.

Salary range $112K - $139K
