Description:
The Vice President of Communications and Content oversees the organization's internal and external communications strategies and programs. This position plans and directs communications programs while overseeing market or public opinion research to assess program outcomes.


Essential Job Functions:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives
  • Work closely with senior leadership to understand business priorities and ensure communication plans support these priorities
  • Manage the organization's media presence and act as the primary spokesperson when necessary
  • Oversee internal communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging across all levels of the organization while facilitating communication channels that promote employee engagement, transparency, and a positive corporate culture
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential reputational risks; Serve as a spokesperson during crisis situations, providing timely and accurate information to the media and other stakeholders
  • Develop and implement a thought leadership strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives
  • Protect and enhance the organization's brand by ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, human resources, finance, information technology, legal, and others, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to communication while leading a team of communication professionals

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years' communications experience required
  • Proven experience in a senior communication role, preferably at the executive level, required
  • Professional services experience strongly preferred

Location: In office.

Hybrid/Remote option may be considered with Management approval.


Travel Requirements:

25% travel (e.g. 25% travel to differing locations, 75% of the time working from an office)


Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:


Frequent: Sitting, walking, eye/hand/foot coordination and repetitive motion.

Occasional: Standing and bending.

Infrequent: Lifting up to 10 pounds.
