Job Functions
- Ensure VFX Artists have all necessary materials, information, reference and creative direction to complete their tasks correctly and on schedule.
- Schedule, prepare and track submissions for meetings, Artist rounds, crew/department dailies and Director reviews; assist in running each.
- Take notes and document all dailies, reviews and meetings, and publish notes and reference to department database (ShotGrid).
- Work with VFX Production Management to maintain and communicate weekly targets to Artist teams based on scheduled milestones.
- Build and maintain department playlists, goals and action items.
- Regularly check in with VFX Artists and Leads regarding task statuses plus up and downstream requirements, and routinely update ShotGrid with the current s
- Identify current or potential roadblocks and proactively problem solve prospective solutions or timely alternatives with diplomacy.
- Drive information to VFX Production Management team and Leads regarding task statuses so that schedules and priorities can be adjusted accordingly.
- Work with VFX Production Management and Department Render Wrangler to manage farm priorities.
- Secure materials/equipment/software for crew, forecast supply needs and track purchases.
Qualifications
- 3+ years feature film or television experience, preferably in visual effects or animation.
- Experience coordinating groups of people.
- Ability to plan, schedule and monitor progress across multiple, interdependent departments.
- Excellent organizational/communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), and other Office software skills.
- Working knowledge of ShotGrid software, required.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, preferred.
