Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checks patient medical records for past histories, enters in computer and files for charging and recording purposes.
- Maintains client educational material in an efficient manner.*
- Performs departmental housekeeping duties.*
- Admits and discharges patients.*
- Takes, processes and logs prescription refills in-house, call out pharmacy and online pharmacy.*
- Monitoring hospital patients and administrating medications when needed
- Placing catheters and performing blood draws when if needed
- Restraining and assisting the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures while clients are present in exam rooms.
- Walking and assisting animals when needed
- Busy hospital must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and keep up with multiple things happening at once.
- multitasking at all times and having a great attitude while doing so.
- Must communicate and have good relationships with the clients and patients in any situation.
- Must be dedicated and passionate about what you do!!!

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered Veterinary Technicians in LA are preferred, not necessarily required. We are open and willing to train the right candidate.
