Veterinary Receptionist

Duties
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Collect and update patient information in the computer system
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures and treatments
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage financial records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
- Provide basic information to clients regarding pet care, vaccinations, and medications
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations

Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer service role preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used in veterinary clinics
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed

Skills:
- Dog handling: Experience in safely handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments.
- Veterinary critical care: Familiarity with emergency procedures and protocols for critical patients.
- Dog training: Understanding of basic dog training principles to assist clients with behavioral issues.
- Veterinary terminology: Proficient in understanding and using medical terms specific to veterinary medicine.
- Pet grooming: Basic knowledge of grooming techniques for different types of pets.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
