We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, and assisting with administrative tasks. Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Collect client information and update records in the system
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Process payments for services rendered
- Provide general information about veterinary procedures, medications, and pet care
- Coordinate with other departments within the clinic to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic a plus
- knowledge of animal handling, husbandry, and care practices
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and appointment scheduling
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Skills:
- Understanding of medical collection processes in relation to veterinary services is desirable
- Experience working in a kennel or animal boarding facility is beneficial
