Job Overview:
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clients and veterinary staff. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for animal care.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information to clients
- Collect and record client information and pet medical records
- Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and data entry
- Process payments for services rendered and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate prescription refills and communicate with veterinary staff as needed
- Ensure exam rooms are cleaned and well stocked between patients
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Proficient computer skills with experience using veterinary software systems is a plus
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
