Veterinary Client Service Representative

VEI Deerfield Beach is currently seeking an experienced Client Service Representative/Receptionist for our ophthalmology specialty clinic located in Deerfield Beach, FL. The Client Service Representative (CSR) is patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They are responsible for answering the phone, differentiating between routine and emergency cases, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, admitting and checking out patients, as well as, processing payments, managing financial information, and communicating information between clients and staff.
The right candidate enjoys working with people and their pet’s and is caring, friendly, and efficient. Someone who creates a warm and welcoming impression. And remains professional and courteous while handling multiple tasks.
We are searching for someone who firmly believes in the quality of care we provide and can communicate this sense of assurance to clients. And understands our services and recommendations and clearly communicates them to clients.
The ideal applicant can empathize with clients and remain compassionate and well-mannered. Remaining calm and collected in the face of emergency situations.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, Client Service Representative (receptionist) duties, and telephone techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, use a multiple-line telephone system, and handle cash and other forms of payment.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• A commitment to outstanding Client Service.
• Ability to stay on task and work energetically for entire shift, sometimes up to 10 hours per day.
• Eager to learn more about diseases and medications specific to ophthalmology.
