Customer service duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, answering client questions or directing questions to the appropriate employee, filing, invoicing and processing payments. Veterinary assistant duties include handling patients (dogs and cats only), restraining patients for veterinary exams and treatment, giving medications, cleaning the facility and caring for animals in the clinic. The new employee needs to be available to work evenings (until 7:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and 6:00 pm Wednesday and Friday) and Saturdays (until 4:00 pm).
