Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Small, quaint one doctor small animal and exotic veterinary practice looking for Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist. Experience is preferred but not required.

We are looking for a mature individual who shares our goal of providing quality individualized care to each client and patient who walks through our door. Staff is expected to be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, be happy to assist clients and patients, a team player, ability to multi-task, nurturing, have an attention to detail, knowledge of computer skills, desire to work hard, be customer service oriented, and have a good sense of humor.

This position demands someone with the initiative to "make it all about the practice" by providing exceptional client care, excellent listening skills, and the desire to go the extra mile for the patient, client, and Doctor.

This posting is for a part time position with potential for more hours in near future.

Likely shifts available: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday,

** Ability to cover other coworkers shifts during the week is plus. **

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Answering the phones
• Scheduling appointments
• Prepping files for appointments/surgeries
• Recording progress reports on patients
• Educating clients
• Assisting the Doctor with patients
• Filling prescriptions
• Cleaning
• No lifting restrictions
• Set up of equipment
