Veterans Clinical Liaison
Sunshine Behavioral Health is looking for a talented Veterans Outreach Representative - Behavioral Health Representative to join our motivated team. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and other worksite benefits. This position is remote with some travel and offers a salary of 90k! Must be located in Texas and be a Veteran.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Veterans Outreach Representative will represent the Company brand to Veteran Affairs across the United States and will execute community outreach/marketing projects/Business Development initiatives as directed by the Director of Business Development and Admissions Director. They will focus on building census and creating sustainable community support and be a liaison to clinical staff to effectively manage client care plans.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Introduce and promote all Sunshine facilities to the VA and Military community.
  • Work on getting us on the list for outside providers.
  • Liaison for Veterans, Military, and families during the discharge process (work with the CM’s) on wrap around service
  • Education to the military on Sunshine program
  • Presentations/conferences and stand down events
  • Bring in Tricare and VA business for assigned area facility.
  • Document all activities in salesforce.
  • Create new accounts with activities in salesforce.
  • Become the go to for outside referrals from the VA. · Assisting Veterans with VA and Community Care Network consult process. Helping to direct and obtain referrals from VA providers for treatment.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on creating and maintaining accounts
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and client needs
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
  • Contact potential accounts to establish rapport and arrange meetings
  • Finding and developing new markets and increasing client acquisition
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing accounts
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to ensure proper branding
  • Establish rapport with inbound referrals and assist admissions with outside referrals
  • Maintain working knowledge of all federal and state regulations and requirements
  • Follow and analyze industry trends
  • Evaluate goals on a monthly basis
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge: The incumbent will have
1. Possess experience and education in chemical and alcohol dependency and abuse
2. Possess strong working experience in Business Development, sales, or another relevant role
3. Proven sales track record
4. Proven communication and the ability to build rapport and negotiation skills
5. Extensive knowledge of Salesforce software
6. Some knowledge of commercial insurance
QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES:
  • 2-3 years of experience in healthcare or behavioral health role required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, sales, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Business Development, referral relations or relationship management required. Or case management, social work, social services highly preferred.
  • Experience working with or for the U.S. Dept of Veterans Affairs behavioral healthcare industry highly preferred.
  • Possess experience and education in chemical and alcohol dependency and abuse.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
