The Vehicle Telematics Risk Analyst will support analysis of integration/utilization of various communications technologies used to support operations. The customer seeks a Vehicle Telematics Risk Analyst to support proposal reviews, development of mitigation strategies, and trainings on vehicle operation and safety worldwide. Performed work includes the review of vehicle telematic program initiatives to ensure security standards, policies, and procedures are met across the Sponsor’s organization.
The position consists of, but is not limited to the following:
- Developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of industry trends and capabilities to include infotainment/telematics, embedded systems and sensors.
- Providing mitigation strategies based upon conducted technical security and risk assessments.
- Attending approval boards, control gates, and/or working groups on behalf of the Sponsor to ensure compliancy.
- Conducting trainings and technical exchanges on mitigation strategies.
As a Vehicle Telematics Risk Analyst, the candidate will be sitting in Chantilly but may often find themselves attending meetings between Chantilly, McLean, and other sites as necessary. Occasional, short-term, TDYs may also be available or required.
All personnel coming into the organization undergo an additional security review that can take anywhere from 7 business days to 30+ days.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Minimum of 16 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- Familiarity with infotainment/telematics, embedded systems, can communication, GPS and RF signals, sensors, electric and autonomous vehicles and V2X technology.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Sponsor’s mission and operations to more fully understand how vehicles encapsulate CI concerns.
- Demonstrated ability to create solutions that blend with normal vehicle operation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Identify and communicate proper procedures to securely deploy vehicular defensive countermeasure technologies.
- Demonstrated experience writing technical reports.
- Must have the ability to travel when needed and on short notice if requested.
Highly Desired Skills and Demonstrated Experience:
- Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s enterprise and operational activities, capabilities, technical development programs.
- Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s information cyber security policies and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience with data extraction and analysis from various data sources including files, logs, directories, unallocated space, raw images, or custom databases.
