Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled & motivated VDI Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, stability, and availability of VDI systems in a 24/7 production environment.You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of all such systems within a multi-site environment. This role is a full-time position that includes a hybrid work arrangement, combining both remote and on-site work if located in the Alpharetta area, or the option of working entirely remote if you're outside our headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage daily ticket operations, including Moves/Adds/Changes for users, security groups, permissions, etc.
- Patching Horizon components, testing and releasing base images on a monthly basis.
- Adhere to ITIL-based approval processes.
- Participate in bi-weekly meetings with the cloud team to discuss ongoing and upcoming tasks.
- Contribute to predetermined projects focused on updating Horizon and related components, as well as implementing improvements for the Horizon environment.
- Foster innovation by exploring areas for process enhancement and proposing changes, promoting a proactive "find a need, fill a need" mindset.
- Dedicate time to self-improvement and skill development regularly to facilitate personal growth.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of experience as a VMware Horizon VDI Engineer.
- Experience working interactively with business customers resolving day to day VDI related issues.
- Experience supporting and maintaining Horizon Connection Servers, Unified AccessGateways, AppVolumes, and DEM.
- Direct involvement over troubleshooting issues related to Horizon VDI components.
- Hands on experience supporting and maintaining Windows 10 operating system in a VDI environment.
- Hands-on experience maintaining Windows Server 2012R2 and later, preferably 2016and above.
- Working knowledge of configuring and implementing AD group policies, DEM, DHCP,DFS, DNS.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 6.7 and later.
- Experience creating technical documentation.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- After-hours support rotation and implementation as needed.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Linux is a plus.
- Experience with PowerShell a plus.
- Experience with ControlUp is a plus.
- Providing 24/7 operational support for production environments.
- Experience upgrading and patching the Horizon and Windows environments to meet security, audit and business requirements.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation range: $73,000 - $100,000

Traditional Physical Requirements:
