Vantage Mid America is looking for a Technical Sales Representative that will be responsible for selling the company's precision agriculture products and services to customers in a specific territory with a focus on the farming market. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in both technical and sales roles and can effectively communicate the technical aspects of products and services to potential customers. The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for generating leads, developing relationships with customers, and closing deals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate new leads and identify new opportunities for sales in the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, understand their technical needs, and provide them with technical solutions that meet their requirements.
- Understand the company's technical products and services and effectively communicate their value proposition to potential customers.
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers and provide technical support during the sales process.
- Create and maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions using CRM systems.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with other departments, including services, marketing, and customer support, to ensure successful delivery of products and services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies that could impact the company's products and services.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as engineering, agriculture, mining, computer science, or a related field. Relevant sales experience can substitute for formal education.
- At least 3 years of experience in Technical Sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue growth.
- Experience with complex technical products and services and the ability to effectively communicate their value proposition to customers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to achieve sales targets.
- Experience with CRM systems and other sales tools.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform sales strategies and drive revenue growth.
- Understanding of sales processes and methodologies, such as consultative selling, solution selling, and value-based selling.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed to meet with customers and prospects.
