PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsibilities for the Valuation Specialist will include completing a first level Administrative or Checklist Review and/or a second level specialty review of any appraisal reports including side by side analysis completed by Class Valuation-Valuation Connect’s Appraiser Panel to ensure they meet established quality standards and customer specific guidelines. This individual is not required to be an appraiser. Valuation Specialist must be able to function in a dynamic, fast paced work environment that is driven by customer defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Tasks:
- Works with appraisers on a daily basis to ensure on time delivery of quality appraisal reports within customer driven SLA
- Investigates customer and service provider questions, concerns and issues; utilizes their knowledge base to resolve or quickly escalates to manager
- Communicates routinely with manager regarding issues, conflicts and concerns as they arise
- Diagnoses problems identified through telephone and electronic communications with appraisal service providers and addresses or escalates efficiently
- Utilizes Class Valuation-Valuation Connect's processing system to review, deliver and track correction requests for all delivered appraisal reports to ensure that Class Valuation-Valuation Connect is meeting customer driven SLAs
- Performs careful review of work queues throughout each day to ensure that Class Valuation-Valuation Connect and appraisers are meeting customer driven SLA
- Understands and follows the various documented client specific appraisal requirements
- Completes reviews while focusing on compliance with industry, federal, state and local guidelines as well as all client specific guidelines
- Performs QA checks to ensure report is complete relative to forms, photos and other supporting documentation
- Provides valuation feedback to internal staff and external service providers
- Utilizes established policy and procedure to ensure efficient workflow within established standards and industry guidelines
- Understands and adheres to all Class Valuation-Valuation Connect policies and procedures
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours as required
- Performs other duties as required
- USPAP course completion
- Regular attendance is a requirement
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Prior appraisal review experience preferred
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to work in a fast past environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and problem solve independently
- Good attention to detail
- Knowledge of all appraisal types and forms
- Beginning to intermediate knowledge of MS Office
