Vaccine Coordinator Job Description
Duties:
-Oversee Vaccine Department/Scheduling/Administer Vaccines
- Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system
- Schedule and confirm appointments for medical professionals
- Maintain electronic medical records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with medical reception duties, including greeting patients and checking them in
- Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up appointments
- Manage and organize medical records, ensuring proper documentation and filing
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of medical procedures to provide accurate information to patients and staff
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations within the facility
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with phone systems, preferably in a medical setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Office Ally)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
