We work with some of the world’s most recognized brands on some of the most cutting-edge technologies, to help build in-depth understanding of their customers and their customers’ needs. We are based in Redmond, Washington.
About You:
As the UX Project Lead for User Research International (URI), you are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for driving successful UX projects. Leading a team of UX Moderators, you excel in managing schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication with clients. Your role involves strategic collaboration with the Senior Research Manager to allocate resources and balance workloads for sustainable project delivery. Must be able to work on-site in Redmond, WA. Might require weekends and shift work.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Communicate project details and timing with the team.
Team Capacity Planning and Management:
- Conduct onboarding and follow-up training to address gaps or issues.
Client and Project Setup:
- Attend or lead client kickoff meetings, ensuring key milestones, responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables are discussed.
- Contribute to confirming details and setting expectations with clients.
- Communicate and confirm soft launch dates with clients.
Project Management and Oversight:
- Set up internal kickoff meetings with Moderators/SMEs to cover project details and timelines.
- Oversee all projects, maintaining daily communication with Moderators on project progress, issues, and the need for assistance.
- Review screeners/questionnaires and troubleshoot/solve project issues alongside Moderators and Manager.
Communication and Client Deliverables:
- Communicate any changes or additions to originally requested deliverables.
- Schedule and send deliverables to clients.
- Coordinate and schedule presentations.
- May give presentations as needed.
Research Planning and Design:
- Contribute to the planning and design of research activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Assist in survey creation/programming, preferably with expertise in Qualtrics and other survey tools.
Session Preparation:
- Ensure ongoing session preparation is high quality to guarantee the smooth execution of studies on time.
Session Moderation and Data Management:
- Oversee session moderation to demonstrate, train, support, and step in as needed to ensure successful session completion.
- Oversee and individually contribute to notes compilation and data export, verifying data accuracy and completeness before client delivery.
Experience and Competencies:
- 5+ years of experience as a professional UX researchers with at least 3 years of experience testing products in professional research labs.
- Hardware testing experience with preference for AR, VR and wearable testing experience.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Psychology or related field.
- Strong understanding of UX design principles and design thinking process (human-centered design).
- Practical experience in project management leading research projects including overseeing the work of other UX Researchers and team members to ensure timely deliverable of high-quality data and reports.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with managing multiple projects and team resources.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
