Job Description
- This position is to design user interfaces and screens for a large finance web application and mobile app that is customer-facing.
- This would include creating mockups and prototypes as well and reviewing customer analytics and feedback survey results to improve the user experience.
- 3+ years demonstrated UX design experience required
- Experience designing user interfaces for the web and mobile apps.
- Experience reviewing customer analytics and feedback and applying those insights to designs
- Experience working with an agile software development team
- 3-5 years' with Figma or other equivalent design and rapid-prototyping tools (a quick skills check will take place to confirm expertise with this software)
- Demonstrated experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to lead design discussions
- A portfolio highlighting your design process and experience
- Experience incorporating branding and common design system components and guidelines into product experiences
- Experience designing customer-facing service application experiences
- This role with interact with Customers/Stakeholder/Leadership- The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills
- This candidate must be a design thinker, not an order taker. Someone who can understand the 'why' behind the business's design request. This candidate can then work with research, the business, and engineering to advocate and craft the best possible User Experience which follow the latest UX design standards and protocols.
- Major PurposeLeverages user experience research insights and recommendations to accelerate discussions and decisions early in the product development process.
- Applies internal/external standards and best practices to create tangible visualizations that serve as the blueprint for product team to turn a concept into a solution, while ensuring they stay consistent with brand standards.
- Work at this level is of moderate to high complexity, covering multiple user classes and personas, which may involve creating new personas.
- Designs cover multiple products/components across multiple platforms, usually in the same division, and enable moderate to highly complex and often concurrent user interactions.
- Leads and/or participates in the creation of the user experience (UX) strategy and standards for a narrow set of related solutions.
- Actively works to share knowledge across workgroups.
- Mentors and coaches less-experienced UX Designers.
- Creates and designs elements or components resulting in high quality user experience designs.
- Incorporates branding and common design guidelines into products.
- Creates wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes and specifications.
- Maintains style guides for varying methods of delivery.
- Follows appropriate design methodology, tools, and protocols to conduct user-centered design.
- Translates analytics data into visual designs to support interpretation and generation of insights or vice versa.
- Monitors external patterns and trends and evaluates their impact on internal design philosophies.
- Performs research and makes recommendations for adopting relevant emerging design trends.
- Possesses working knowledge of core user interface languages.
- Technical skill and knowledge in a specialized area of engineering, e.g., design, analysis, test, evaluation, etc.
- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to deliver production-ready, clean and usable digital user interfaces across multiple form factors.
- Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
- Degree in a Marketing discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
- Miscellaneous degree or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
- Work experience in a team environment. (4 - 7 years)
