Vernon, IL location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Utility Operations Supervisor to join our group. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is dependable and accountable.

THE POSITION
Operation and maintenance of all Utility & Powerhouse Equipment. Ensures Utility and Energy equipment technical availability according to the company's guidelines and approved budgets, delivery and consumption of energy media with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement of the existing processes to ensure a reduction in the specific energy consumption of the site. Drives continuous improvement of the planned maintenance program. Participates in, and implements Energy Efficiency projects.
Supports MTE maintenance department, Process Eng. and QM in troubleshooting equipment issues.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance plus minimum of 5 years Boiler operation/supervision, utilities, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of supervisory experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.

THE POSITION
Operation and maintenance of all Utility & Powerhouse Equipment. Ensures Utility and Energy equipment technical availability according to the company's guidelines and approved budgets, delivery and consumption of energy media with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement of the existing processes to ensure a reduction in the specific energy consumption of the site. Drives continuous improvement of the planned maintenance program. Participates in, and implements Energy Efficiency projects.
- Leads a team of Technical Utility operators and maintenance technicians responsible for the operation and maintenance of boilers, including water and various chemical treatment systems, cooling towers, water chillers, air compressors, pumps, turbines, refrigeration equipment, heating and a/c systems, cooling water and associated equipment.
- Maintains equipment and systems in a high-quality manner to prevent any service interruptions to production, while monitoring equipment MTBF and MTTR KPI's and taking actions for continuous improvement.
- Operates all equipment in a safe and energy efficient manner, compliant with specified process and quality parameters as well as government and other legal requirements.
- Schedule operator shift coverage, managing team attendance, discipline, overtime, training and development
- Manage and develop planned maintenance schedules, tasks and execution utilizing the PUMA system including statutory legal inspections on schedule by external inspection authorities.
- Manage the respective R&M budget spending, forecasting & budgeting
