What you'll do...
As a Senior Software Engineer you will demonstrate up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models' compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
About Team: Our team focuses on a web application used by Optical business teams such as Business operations, Merchandising, Compliance, Billing and even Global Tech to allow access to data of day-to-day operations of the Vision Centers and Sam's Club."
What you'll do:
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Understands Agile methodology principles and applying within a Scrum team
- Ability to collaborate with other developers on the team
- Solid grasp of OOP (Object Oriented Programming) concepts
- Experience with UI/UX design principles and best practices
- Prior experience working with VSCode or similar IDE for Web development
- Prior experience developing applications using React, Typescript, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, Java version 8, 11, or later
- Solid understanding of microservice-based architecture and development of RESTful services
- Experience building a responsive, cross-browser compatible and high-performance micro frontend web application.
- Understands how to manage source code using standard Github practices
- 1 - 3 years of experience using cloud platforms (i.e. Microsoft Azure) for application deployment and hosting
What you'll bring:
- Experience building customizable, reusable, accessible cross-platform and dynamic frontend components using ReactJS, Angular, JavaScript, Typescript, Node JS/Express JS, HTML and CSS
- Experience implementing TDD practices JEST framework or similar
- Experience working on systems/applications supporting the healthcare industry or any other where encryption of data is required
- Knowledge of how to navigate in Linux operating system environments
- Knowledge of creating CI jobs using Jenkins or similar tools
- Knowledge of docker and containerized deployments within Kubernetes
- Comfortable managing day-to-day work using Jira
