What you'll do...
Manager, Apparel Designer - Young Adult
DESCRIPTION :
Designer partners with Design Director to execute the seasonal design concept by creating and executing original and trend-appropriate design concepts that meet market needs and drive sales. Designer assists and communicates trends, influences, colors, print and pattern, fabric and key products of the season. Collaborates with internal and external partners to implement and execute design concepts while ensuring the timely execution of each stage in the process.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create seasonal trend and design development decks that cover print, color, outfitting, key items, and innovations to move product on.
Effectively communicate visual point of view via digital mood boards, decks, and inspiration.
Research and identify trends with a strong sense of brand identity.
Research by analyzing collections, shopping stores; performing competitive analysis; and recapping runways.
Research trend and core fabrics of the season
Execute the creation of seasonal and on trend color palettes.
Have a continuous pulse on influential and up-and-coming social media influencers to recognize consumer trends and support the brand vision.
Help curate seasonal print stories.
Bring design concepts to life through product development to ensure brand cohesion and relevancy for the customer.
Operations & Results
• Work with Design Director to execute the concept from presentation to product.
• Work with domestic and direct suppliers virtually and in person to provide brand design direction and feedback
• Design/develop according to line plans, sales needs and emerging trends; ensure timely execution of product development calendar
• Create visually compelling presentations that effectively communicate ideas.
Relationships
Daily Communication with internal and external partners, including Design leadership, product development, merchandising, and supplier.
Build collaborative relationships with suppliers and cross functional partners
Skills
Strong design and conceptual skills
Ability to Identify key trends and determine how they appropriately relate to the brand/ consumer.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign; Windows PowerPoint
Experience with Illustrator sketching
Experience creating trend presentations
Understands Gen-z and Young Adult Trends
Resourceful, able to follow direction, can work autonomously
Strategic thinkers who can balance creativity and analytics
Team player; strong communication skills; organized; detail oriented
Able to work in fast-paced environment and can change task focus as needed

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
