We are looking for an IT enthusiast with strong technical acumen and hands on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated container platforms, deployment pipelines, and cloud-ready application architectures. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced OpenShift Specialist to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about cutting-edge technologies and have a proven track record in managing, implementing, and optimizing containerized environments using OpenShift, we want to hear from you.
Work you'll do/Responsibilities
- Manage OpenShift Container Platforms, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance
- Manage applications on the OpenShift platform, ensuring seamless deployment and scalability
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years OR Master's Degree with 8+ years of professional IT experience,
- Extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift container platform
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure
- Skills and experience in:
- Platforms such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and Ansible
- Containerization solutions such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Automation scripting: Perl, Bash, Shell, Python
- Implementing security best practices on OpenShift components
- Performance optimization for OpenShift workloads
- Pod scheduling and cluster scaling to optimize resource allocation
- Understanding network principles related to OpenShift Cluster (DNS, Load balancing, Firewalls)
- Diagnosing and resolving issues during OpenShift installation and operation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to appropriately tailor messages based on the audience
- Must live in a commutable distance to or be willing to relocate to one of the following Delivery locations: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Gilbert, AZ; Houston, TX; Lake Mary, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA; Philadelphia, PA
- Expected to co-locate in your designated office/USDC location up to 30% of the time
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain the required level of security clearance for this role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise middleware platforms such as Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, RedHat JBoss.
- Experience in the Government or Defense Sector(s)
- Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator certification
- CompTIA Security+ certification
