The Medical Assistant and Front Desk professional is a pivotal member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing both clinical and administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our facility. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.

In your role as a Medical Assistant, you will report to the Clinic Manager

Your responsibilities will include assisting clinic physicians, physician assistant and nurse practitioners in the care of patients in a Urgent Care environment

Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures. Process Drug Screens,

Record and maintain patient medical histories and vital signs.

Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.

Perform routine diagnostic tests and collect specimens as required.

Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization.

Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols.

Educate patients on proper medication use and follow-up care.

Assist in the coordination of patient referrals to specialists.

Administrative Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.

Verify patient information and insurance details.

Collect and process patient payments, co-pays, and insurance claims.

Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to callers.

Maintain electronic health records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.

Assist in filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Manage the waiting area to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
