SalaryCHEMED Health is hiring for a full time Nurse Supervisor to join our team in our busy Urgent Care Center. This position will require some evening hours and an occasional weekend shift. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for:
- Assigning duties to nursing staff, providing appropriate feedback and assessment of care delivered to ensure that patients' safety is maintained
- Ensuring that staff schedules are consistent with Patients needs and provide the accountability of established standard of care.
- Regularly conducting staff meetings to assure that information is disseminated to all appropriate parties.
- Collaborating with off shift and other administrative personnel to assure consistency of practice across all three shifts on a continual basis.
- Designing and providing employee training using competencies established by the DON for evaluation of all nursing staff, including use of EMR.
- Assisting the physician and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and physician access.
- Functioning as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians
- Maintaining efficient patient flow
- Appropriately demonstrates telephone triage protocols
- Appropriately adheres to universal safety precautions
- Checks and maintains logs for emergency equipment according to policy.
- Supporting a clinical practice environment where nursing staff provides exceptional care for the Urgent Care Patients.
Qualifications:
- RN License in the state of New Jersey
- BSN preferred
- 2+ years of Emergency room experience
- BLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills
- eCW experience preferred
