Overview
As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of the Urban Outfitters Financial Planning and Analysis Team. The role reports to the Senior Finance Manager. This position will work closely with the business financial teams and various corporate function leads on financial projects and analyses. Key responsibilities include supporting business analysis, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, strategic initiatives, and various ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for financial modeling, business case analysis and financial/management reporting
- Assist with the timeline and presentation materials related to the annual budgeting process.
- Assist in the timely preparation of periodic forecasting, reporting, month end P&L’s, variance analysis and presentations for management
- Analyze performance of sales promotions, provide feedback to executive team, and update the promotional calendar with events.
- Conduct and consolidate insightful variance analysis to fully understand the drivers of business performance and to identify potential issues and opportunities
- Perform Ad Hoc and decision-support analysis as requested my management
- Develop ways to continually improve processes to ensure timely and accurate communication of information
Qualifications
- 5-7 years in finance, accounting, or similar function, preferably in the retail or apparel industry
- Experience in applying finance principles to business operations
- Working knowledge of financial systems: SAP BPC or Hyperion HFM, MicroStrategy a plus
- Advanced Financial Modeling and Analytics
- Proven ability to utilize and quickly adapt to new software and reporting systems

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
