General Summary
Under general supervision of Controller(s) / Sr. Regional Controller. Provides financial support and works collaboratively with financial & operational management in financial oversight which include, but are not limited to, support for financial analysis, planning, budgeting, performance improvement, general accounting, development of other fiscal management processes to support operations leadership with management of their fiscal performance.
- Exciting opportunity within WellSpan Health's Finance division as we focus on growing our Corporate Services Finance team supporting approximately 5,000 of the systems 20,000 FTEs
- Corporate Services provides resources such as IT, HR, Security, Food Service, Case Management and more as part of WellSpan Health, a +$3B health system with 20,000 employees, 8 respected hospitals, 1,600 employed providers and more than 200 care locations throughout south central PA
- Key and very visible Finance division role in bringing up new systems and processes in support of Corporate Systems
- Provides financial analysis, planning, budgeting, performance improvement and other business analytics to an array of senior executives across the WellSpan enterprise.
- Provides guidance and leadership to / in support of multiple Finance team members
Essential Functions:
- Oversees the recording and posting transactions to general ledger and preparing monthly financial reports. Coordinates month-end and year-end reporting, preparing accruals and schedules and submitting monthly and ad hoc financial reporting packages. Assists in direction and oversight of staff.
- Interacts with senior management on monthly financial performance and operational oversight. Collaborates with operations leadership in developing and monitoring relevant financial performance metrics and financial data to determine profitability and identify areas for improvement. Analyzes operation of systems, prepares recommendations and documentation to create and update fiscal services and other related policies and procedures with respect to operating systems.
- Facilitates and/or prepares annual budgets in coordination and liaison with operating managers. Assist in cost report preparation.
- Monitors cash balances, invests excess cash and reconciles investment accounts.
- Directs and assists in the preparation and filing of returns for federal, state and local income taxes, mercantile taxes and payroll taxes.
- May be involved with physician productivity and compensation models or financial feasibility studies. Reviews/evaluates administrative/planning studies as assigned.
- Ensures maintenance and integrity of accounting systems. Assists in upgrades and new implementations.
- Involvement in support of the annual audit and budget. Coordinates the scheduling and organization of the entity's annual budget process including presentation to management.
- May conduct or assist in the presentation of fiscal educational sessions.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Bachelors Degree Required or
- Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) Preferred
Work Experience:
- 5 years Required
Licenses:
- Certified Public Accountant Upon Hire Preferred
Courses and Training:
- Accounting/finance Upon Hire Required
