Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will report into the Director of FP&A and will focus on improving the acumen and accountability of our financial position throughout the organization. Additionally, this individual will play a crucial role in business analysis in the aim of telling a comprehensive story of actual performance relative to pre-defined target KPIs which this role will help solidify. This role will also offer exposure to business leads across the company. Strong analytical skills along with presentation and storytelling are requirements with prior experience with NetSuite Planning and Budgeting being a big plus.
Responsibilities
- Drive business insights and action through analytical modeling and the development of metrics that helps the company work more efficiently and effectively.
- Support strategic goals through analysis, reporting, and data visualization.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for revenues and expenses.
- Reviewing school level financial results monthly
- Analyzing budget/forecast v. actual and reviewing variances with department heads
- Identifying and communicating issues/concerns related to work with leadership. (If you see something, say something).
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience and Competencies
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Strong quantitative skills with a desire to learn new competencies.
- Proven project management skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight on projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Highly Desired
- Expertise in data visualization tools, NetSuite, NSPB and/or Microsoft Power BI preferred, but not required.
- Advanced user of Excel and Power Point and proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, SharePoint, etc.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and speaking skills.
- Detail oriented, highly organized and demonstrated ability to successfully achieve project goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative and ability to address problems proactively and creatively.
- Ability to communicate the results of analyses to colleagues across the company.
- Able to develop and maintain productive relationships at all levels of the organization.
There will be periodic requirements to travel for in-person events, at the discretion of your manager or the requirement of the company.
